Bill’s Story

On March 23, 1954 William Charles Fehon was born in Tallahassee, Florida to parents Jack and Peggy. Bill spent the majority of his childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina, before attending the Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania for high school. As a senior, he met his future wife, Diane Morey. They wed in 1975 and had five children: Aaron, Jason, Anders, Jeremy, and Garrett.

Bill always enjoyed the outdoors, with fly fishing and bow hunting as two of his favorite activities. In fact, Bill helped found the United Bow Hunters of Pennsylvania and was the president of the organization for many years. In addition, he was an avid vegetable gardener, cook, and handyman. In the spring of 2009 he retired from 32 years of teaching human anatomy and biology at the Academy of the New Church.

In the early 90s, Bill crafted his Original BBQ Sauce for family barbecues, and thus began a spirited tradition that grew beyond our backyard. Sadly, when Bill was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Degeneration in 2009, he could no longer continue making his sauce. To honor him, our family took up his teaspoons, measure for measure, and chose to sell his sauce for all to enjoy; donating a portion of all proceeds to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration. Thank you so much for taking interest in and supporting something that Bill was truly proud of!

Sincerely,

The Fehon Family
